Annual Holiday Dinner

The simple exterior gives way to a Vaulted Great Room with large Palladian style windows at either end. The original wainscoting and woodwork have been lovingly restored. The cozy, warm feeling of the room, featuring photographs and artwork from the society’s extensive collection, makes the room perfect for both large and small meetings. The city hosts its annual ‘Thank you’ dinner with us, and the local Lions club have been long time renters.

Guests are free to decorate the room for their special occasion using the many inconspicuous hooks that are spaced about the room on which you may hang decorations. Specific details are included in the rental agreement.

Close by are several charming Bed & Breakfast Inns, as are several excellent dining choices — many who offer catering services as well. In addition, major shopping areas will provide all you need to make your event a success.

Waltz Building Kitchen

Full working kitchen (help not included!)

Our historic structure was built in 1938 on the Snohomish High School campus to serve as a music building — but that’s not how the Waltz Building got its name. In 1983, our Historical Society submitted the winning bid of $116 (our address number) to purchase the surplus music building, and it was Robert and Mary Waltz who donated the funds to move the former classroom to its present location on Avenue B, next door to the Blackman House Museum.

Again, our rates are very affordable — please contact Sonia for pricing or leave a message at 360.568.5235 in Voicebox #2.
